Hello, I was thinking of what i could do that was not done by anyone else, Japanese experimental medium tanks from WW2, it dont know what it is but i really like the crude look of Japanese tanks of WW2. I was wondering if its possible to make any of these tanks.

Hi ashman, they would certainly be very interesting scratch builds, you could use panzer 3 or 4 components for the tracks/suspenion/road wheels etc. With gearboxes you would need very low profile to fit the chassis. As a starting point you would need the blueprints to produce correct scale drawings.

Do you type numbers/names for the Tanks?

What do you mean about typing numbers/names for tanks? the model numbers? like M4 or Type 5 for example?

Yes, I think this one is the 'Chiri'

You could possibly use a modified panzer 4 base for this, you'd have to check the scale size

and this is the Type 97 'Chi-Ha'

This one is a scratch build,possibly using panzer 4 components

You might get away with a standard panzer 3 gearbox on the chi-ha, you would have to scale the bluprints and compare with panzer 3 height/shape.

I was gonna use a KV for for the Chiri, its not gonna be a super accurate build that looks exactly like the real one, its just gonna look loosely like a Type 5 Chiri

Hi ash, the kv has 6 roadwheels vs 8 on the chiri and the kv chassis is larger and wider than the chiri, that's why I suggested the panzer 4 chassis, the panzer 4 suspension is very similar to the chiri. I can see the turret resemblance though. Anyway good luck with the build.
