These are relatively new, and I am wondering if anyone here has any experience with them.

I am seriously considering replacing the original 3:1 reduction zinc gearboxes in my Taigen M41 with the 4:1 reduction steel ones, if the zinc ones prove troublesome.

Comments, anyone?

Don't think twice,
The TAIGEN 4/1 Ball Bearing Metal Gearboxes are as good as almost anything else available,
If you wanted better you can expect to pay a great deal more than these wonders go for.
Shaun.

Hmmmm... perfect timing! I have these and am trying to install them in my H/L M4A3 hull and THEY DON'T FIT! TOO WIDE!

If, by "too wide" Jack, you mean the motor terminals foul one another, then the simplest solution is to remove the mounting screws on one motor and turn it through 180deg and refit. With a little judicious flattening of the terminals, and maybe some insulation for insurance, you could get around the problem. This was my solution to fitting these motors/gears in my Panzer 4/Asiatam project. Best of British to you..
Roy.

The new motors have a little piece on the back side and this along with the spacer makes them too wide to fit next to each other in the hull. Trust me if it were as easy as reclocking the motors that's what I would have told him he needs to do. ;)

Don't get me wrong they WILL fit when I'm done. ;)
