Heng Long 2.4Ghz latest versions differences

I would like to gather info on the later Heng Long 2.4 Ghz variations, versions, make and model changes. Can someone supply the version numbers and help me clarify the differences for other beginners, both are out for sale at the mo as the latest 2.4 ghz systems and version numbers are not shown but one is vastly better in my opinion, being the latest of the two HL 2.4 Ghz versions.
I recently purchased the HL T34 with the 2.4Ghz system and a HL Sherman 2.4Ghz. Both came with recent 2.4 Ghz systems, but the later produced one has improved added functions. So there are two very similar recent 2.4 Ghz systems out at the moment which can be confusing. Here are the function differences, the later 2.4 Ghz version transmitter has a slightly different sticker on it with a different sticker design but both have the same layout of button positions and appearance and both are marketed as the latest 2.4 Ghz system, so easy to confuse as no version number change is shown or box art of the transmitter etc. Operation on later 2.4 Ghz is as follows; barrel up/down, separate control on the later version, up on stick for barrel up and down on stick for down, earlier version same as old TX 18 barrel on loop, up/down with stick down. Both systems have proportional turret traverse, so nicer than Tx 18. BB Fire, now you press K or fire button and push up left stick on later 2.4Ghz version, on other 2.4 ghz version, same as old TX18, up on left stick. Main difference, apart from improved barrel control, are the sounds, the later 2.4 Ghz version has far better proportional engine sound, I believe it also has two sound sets, so the mg, traverse sound can have two sound options. I have not yet worked out how to change over sound sets on this later controller, so can someone tell me which button combo you use to access second sound set? Both later 2.4Ghz tanks still come with old TX18 instructions, so, no info for the later 2.4 system transmitter operation from the box. Anyone know which recent HL tanks come with which version 2.4Ghz systems? Will the slightly older, less able HL 2.4Ghz system be phased out and replaced in production for all tanks with the newer better one or will they make both and sell both etc. All info appreciated on 2.4 Ghz version numbers etc, thanks guys.

on the very latest version, to change sounds you can

- hold down the K button & quickly depress the G button, this will switch sound sets.
Or
- Hold down the silver "bullet shooting": button on the top right of the controller & quickly depress the left silver "machine gun sound" button on the top left of the controller.

Even though mine is not able to fully function the operations, I have got the thing down to an art so I can use the Leo 2 start up sound then quickly switch to the Tiger 1 running sound once it kicks in !
Just sounds cooler cranking over for a while ;)

I've just bought the Heng Long Henshel turreted King Tiger "Pro Version" from Haya.
I expected it to come with the new dual sound set but it didn't - it is 2.4 Ghz but standard sound unit.
The two buttons on the radio unit (Top right and left) are non operational.

Also, as a point of interest, the 1800 Mah battery supplied isn't man enough to enable the tank to turn on the spot - but a 2000 Mah is. This is because of the heavier metal tracks and metal gearboxes.

However, I do have a new sound board (Leopard/KT type) earmarked for the KT.
First though, I need the photo etched grilles and Zimmerit adding plus an airbrushed camo scheme.

Great info, thank you all for posting reply. Anyone know more about version numbers, I have both types of 2.4 Ghz on new tanks purchased in the last month, is it only certain tanks which have the latest 2 sound system? Keep adding info guys. Thanks.

The 2.4 version 1 looks like a standard transmitter but with no metal aerial
The version 2 has the volume button and other functions on the transmitter.
The version 3 is the dual sound set up.

I have an example of all 3
They all off the superior control but the function convenience is better on each.

Hope this helps

I have recently purchased a basic plastic version of the Heng Long Tiger I. It came with the latest radio and dual soundset. I have seen the newest radio available on a Sherman, the Tiger I and the leopard 2 plus the T90 ( the tank I originally saw and heard this on). All are available from a seller named toolsempire on EBay. ( comes up on my search here in The Us).

I'm sure other sellers have them too. They have these models available in this radio configuration. Strangely all the other models they offer only have the 2.4ghz radio without the dual sound set.

Hope this helps

Carl

Hi, I am confuse too and i think i need some help here... i have 2 tank, Panzer 4 & Leopard, both are 2.4 and comes with similar transmitter...

Leopard 2 - Transmitter have Silver decal/sticker and 2 silver button on tope for MG (Left) and right silver hold down button + left stick up to fire BB. Gun elevation can be up with the left stick up or down with the left stick down. 2 sound changeable. (Tank comes without the BB kill switch in the turret hatch)

Panzer 4 - Transmitter looks like the one from Leopard but the decal/sticker are in black... the top 2 button are moulded there but not functional. Push up left stick to fire BB. Only 1 sound effect. press K to fire main gun without BB (Tank comes with BB kill switch in the turret hatch)

My question is... i want to fire my leopard main gun without the BB engaging like my panzer 4 but i can't... whenever i fire my leopard 2, the BB goes off too. Can i disable the leopard 2 BB and still fire my main gun with the sound effect and tank jerking effects still on?

Please help. thanks.
