Paint and lacquer question.

I airbrushed my tank with revell-humbrol enamels and the paint falls quite easily, so I need a laquer. What kind of laquer do you recommend me? I need it with no bright, and it would be better if I can airbrush it instead of using a rattle can.
Thanks!

I'd want a matt (non-glossy) finish if I were you; but good (sprayable) ones are hard to find, apparently. However, this looks like an interesting discussion on the topic, Rad...

Lol, interesting post, 43rd. Sadly I agree with it. I only had bad experiences with """matt""" laquers.
I usually dont use them, but for some reason the paint I airbrushed on my tank falls at the first touch. Its a bad first airbrush experience. I dont know what went wrong... Maybe too much paint thinner... Or wrong paints...
I will try with that vallejo varnish, Doc.
Thanks, guys!

Did you clean and prime before painting? There is no way any paint should just rub off after painting and throwing a coat of lacquer on it won't help I'm afraid...
I use flat lacquers I get from railroad shops...

Yes, I cleaned and primed with a tamiya primer can, grey color. The paint comes out but the primer stays there intact.
Could it be a problem of too much paint thinner? I think I did a 50-50%

Enamel over an acrylic primmer don't like the mechanics of that although I thought it would have stuck better. What did you use to thin it please?

The revell paint thinner. I must say I have used a lot of times enamel over that primer and no problem, but never with airbrush.

Must be some component in the thinner that doesn't like the primer. If it was me I would take an old toothbrush and get off as much as I could and use Tamiya paints to re-do but that's just me...

It seems that is the only thing I can do. The paint is like dust over the tank. I have never seen something like that....
