Neues Kid on the Block?

Has anyone used http://www.rc-panzer-shop.de/en_GB/ for tanks and accessories? They seem relatively new on the scene (established April 2015, it seems). The website is neatly arranged, and functions well...(often an indicator of the sort of customer experience you're likely to get: a  , rather than a >:< . or WTF :wtf:...but not always!). Prices are more than reasonable; though I do find that slightly disconcerting, and the range of products on offer is good, and growing apparently. In the accessories section I found this display item/ worktool that I've not spotted elsewhere:
If it's c**p for tanks it can always be used for cakes

or, minus the tank this is what it looks like:

I use a wooden 'lazy-Susan' from Ikea.
350mm diameter and a wide base so its stable.
Do all my builds on one, and have others for display stands.

:D That was the name of my ex-wife (without the 'lazy', of course.. ;) ); a bit wider than 350mm; fairly stable (needed to be to live with an eccentric like moi.. :lolno: ); and made a good display from time to time!
Apart from that, for the tanks I use pieces of 4" x2". However, this caught my eye because of the intriguing flanges under the revolving platter. I imagine they could be used as tie downs with elastic bands etc. :|
Looks useful, anyway; although the colour's a bit loud. Might suit a pink painted metallic Panzer though :haha: I wonder who might have had one of those? ;)

What goes around comes around, Don't you just hate those pseudo wise sounding meaningless clichés ? Anyway, Many years ago after my handbuilt (Two Burnt out Soldering Irons) Sinclair ZX 80 finally gave up and my Atari, Oh so smart but oh so blo*dy awful disc drive puter also gave up, I bought my first PC, A great big Packard Bell and it came with a Monitor that had a Cathode Ray tube rather than an LED screen. It was very heavy and was mounted on a large platform with an adjustable Turntable.
The PC and the Monitor are long gone but the Turntable being as strong as it is, supports any of my (Far to much) Metal Tigers with no danger of collapse.
I have been thinking what colour my Asiatam/Heng Long PZ4 F1 should be, As they saw a lot of service in the Western Desert I was going to go with desert sand which would complement my Tunisian(Early) Tiger 1 But the "Regiment" until quite recently painted their WW2 Chevrolets and post WW2 Landies in PINK so perhaps H W M N B N was right all along ?
And yes I miss the pain in the nether regions too, but then there are people in Russia who still miss Josef Stalin :lolno:
Shaun.

I got a rotating stand, metal and ball raced, from China for £1.99 with free postage? It has screw holes so I can mount a work surface of my own on it, it spins effortlessly.

It's gone by a massive 7%! It's now the princely sum of £2.13 :/ The after effects of Brexit and the slump in the pound I guess. It always astounds me how they manage to ship things so cheaply. I realise they pack it into a container, which makes the international shipping negligible, but it still has to get from the port to the delivery address. You could not even post it in the UK for that price.

Hi Cheap postage from China is state sponsored exports , means money in every dollar counts .We could export more if we had cheap postage but now Royal Mail is privately operated it will never happen.

regards pete

Hmm, and old CRT monitor stand, Shaun. Yep, that would do the trick. In the days of yore, I would have kept the old stand too when giving the monitor the old heave-ho. These days, though, keeping things that might be 'useful..some day'- my old mantra- are long gone. I didn't want to end up 'swimming' into my house over a mountain of old newspapers, and all manner of junk with 'deferred' utility..like the 'hoarding' losers we were treated to a wee while ago on TV :haha: :haha: As for puters, I always built my own pcs until I had an revelation  and migrated to the world of the Mac (what could be more appropriate in Scotland, eh?)
As for that dread Asiatam PZ4...that's now on the back burner (very nearly an actual burner: the Bonfire). I'm going to tackle the Cromwell first, and then after I've forgotten the Panzer pain, I'll probably try to make it a 'G' model with camo from a European theatre. It's either that..or severe scorch marks! Incidentally, HWSNBN is making a Tamiya 1/35 PZ4 as I write this... When I asked if it would be pink, I got no response...not to that, anyway.
The Tank 'cake stand' (above) looks like it could be a good spray painting accessory, though.
