Tanks, but no tanks..?

I see the Panther ausf F seems a well represented model on Rctank.de. Odd that, since it never clanked off the production line. No Matter, It's not unusual to see theoretical 'vapourware' tanks being realised in 1/16 scale here on the Forum.
I wonder, though, whether anyone has ever built the sawn off Panther variant VK 1602, AKA 'Leopard'? That's the Panther that shrank in the wash; but looks very cute. Here's a pic (genuine mock up pic, I think.

Then I found this attractive 1/35 Hobby Boss kit on an interesting wee website:

Has anyone put one of these together in 1/16 scale..as a scratch challenge?
The website (worth a look):

Hmmmm that looks interesting, especially if I could find a cheap pantiger. It looks kind of cute! Maybe a future project.
Found this which includes blueprints

started one of these a while back. just aware he wheels are bigger on the leopard than on a panther, also wheel spacing is bigger to get the length, found out to my cost

Sounds like a scratchbuild then with printed parts. definitely a project to look at when my current projects are finished. Ontrack I will be in touch closer to the build as the turret would save me a heap of time.

if anyone can do it justice (and I know there are probably several), we know that you can, Alwyn.

I have still unfinished- and rapidly expanding- business with a Firefly; an Asiatam PZ IV; and now the (pinnacle) challenge of a Ludwig Cromwell. At this rate, I'll have to leave the completion schedules to my Heirs!
..and to OnTrack, I'll certainly bear the offer in mind for the future. Thanks for the interesting contribution
