Good morning, I think you've got the wear and tear just about perfect there. If it wasn't for the foam it is sitting on, it would look completely real. I particularly enjoy the attention given to the sighting reticule.

Doc I have just ordered off of E-Bay a 1/18 uniformed soldier with various parts hinged which, as he will be the Driver of a 1/18 German Army Staff car is just what I needed, 
His uniform is of the Modern multi-faceted pattern which is not a problem as I shall apply a more appropriate scheme, BUT his removable hat does not resemble anything worn by a German soldier of 1940/45,
I wonder if you know how best to make/beg/borrow or steal a "Schiff" in that scale.

JUSSEK /Richard Hi, If you are not bothered too much by what they look like before you paint them, I buy my 1/18 semi-articulated figures from E-BAY,
They are standalone/sitting figures that come with a choice of ephemera such as a Motorcycle and other such pretty useless bits and pieces but they only cost under £7 each with FREE-POST so given that heads, arms, and waist are articulated and there is a choice of standing and sitting models, about the only drawback is the month long wait (From China), PAY-PAL is available for peace of mind and given the usually high prices of 1/18 Figures it seems like a no brainer to me.

Hi Doc, Yes, In the British Armed Forces they are called "Side Caps/Hats" but in the German Armed Forces they are called "Schiff's" because they look like an inverted "SHIP" ( "Schiff") ,
