It took a while getting there, but the direct descendant of the Cromwell...the Centurion, turned out to be an exceptional tank. In the Yom Kippur War of 1972, it's said that two 105mm armed Centurions ('Sho't'- is the name of these Israeli versions..how apt ) took out as many as 60 Syrian T-55s and T-62s. Not bad for a day's work. Here's an even more extraordinary account of the glowing history of this British icon: a red hot favourite:
Centurion no. 169041- AKA 'The Atomic tank'. Perhaps this is a suitable juncture for reminding plastic tank manufacturers that classic, battle proven, tanks are not represented in 1/16 scale.

Congrats. Hope we'll all see your build thread, as I'm sure it'll be a cracker. Meantime, I'm awaiting delivery of the basic Cromwell kit I've already started the build in my cranial workshop..over and over...and over Can't wait....so I need to start assembling the real bits.

I should start it early next year.

Look forward to the Cromwell build, need more British ww2 tanks.

Any British WW2 tank or immediately post-war tank from the main manufacturers would be welcome. Apart from the cost, the complexity of Ludwig' models way surpasses my abilities. I can just about cope with Tamiya tanks.

PS, Knocked up in English English does not mean the same as in American English.

There's the pdf file he produces for each model. A lot better than guesswork, I'd say, at first sight, anyway ..
