Hi Tackleberry,

The HE Leopard and Abrams have identical electronics and running gear. If you are going to replace the electronics you might aswell swap the running gear. I converted the HE Leopard 2-A5 to HL electronics and HL Pershing running gear a while ago and she's still running sweet.

Have a look here: http://www.rctankwarfare.com/Forums/index.php/topic,175.0.html

Hope this helps
John

PS: I didn't fit airsoft but I did give her a laser designator.  ;) ;D

No problem. You will need an extra 20 track links per side if you are going to fit Pershing running gear.
Good luck with your project.
