Hi, can you tell a little more about this event? I ask because I'm new to RC (since May last year) and have been scratch-building crawlers (1:10 scale) and trucks (1:10 and 1:8) but intruigued by tanks. Is it a good place for idiot questions from the cheap seats? Are people happy to talk about their builds?

Yes of course.

We meet once a quarter and drive/battle the tanks indoors for 8 hours :D

A lot of time is spent talking about and fixing tanks and seeing people's new ideas/kits.

So far we have around 20 names on the list to attend.

It's £10 per commander for the day.

Sounds perfect, thank you. I'll be there, although about the only thing I'm in command of is tying my shoelaces...

Is there space for another newcomer. I take it metal tracks are OK on the floor (my T34 has them). I apologise in advice for the stupid questions poor driving and general shortcomings.

Yes no problem - come along :)

Metal tracks are fine, it's only 1/6th that aren't allowed indoors on the floor.
