Hi all,
Got myself a Heng Long metal Sherman lower with the wider T-49 tracks with sprockets/idlers. It arrived today and now I am stuck on what gearbox set will actually fit in there. I believe what I am after is the so-call Hi-lo gearbox, but with the longer drive shaft because of the T-49 tracks. Is that correct ? Normal Heng Long Sherman uses the Hi-lo but with short shaft I believe due to the narrow tracks.
The mount points on the metal sherman lower also looks very strange. Would I need mounting plate as well for the Heng Long Hi-lo gearbox ?
Stump and stuck.

Re: Heng Long metal Sherman gearbox
Hi Michael.
I have a Sherman which I am converting to an m3 lee tank ,
and have similar troubles.
Your tank is fitted with a metal hull. and "tankzone do steal boxes for metal bases . go for premium middle of the range. 5-1.
my problem is that I need low profile, ones for the Sherman, and they are rare.
Cheers Wads.
