Whatever happened to WeCoHe?

Whilst enjoying leafing- metaphorically- through Painless' engaging Tamiya static Tiger 1 to RC ready thread, I noted he made use of a set of amazing wheels from a company called WeCoHe. My curiosity peeked, I checked them out and
found they were a bespoke German enterprise, and had gone out of business some time in 2011. What a dreadful waste of talent. The following are images of some of their astonishing products :O :

If nothing else,I expect we can take some good ideas from these legacy photos.. Now I'm wondering what had happened to the guy/guys behind these designs. Surely they're still around somewhere, I thought..with that level of commitment and involvement. But, alas, I could find no traces on the net..nor any tracks to follow, but some links brought me a site producing beautiful gearboxes bearing a strong resemblance to the bespoke ETO models. So perhaps the trail hadn't gone entirely cold ..inasmuch as there are still some very clever people out there interested in 1/16 tanks.. :http://www.modellspiegel.com/getriebe-gearbox-1-16/

This firm came and went long before I got into the hobby. Bummer. I just hope that others will won't go the same way as WeCoHe (Ludwig et al..). They won't if we support them, eh?

Yes , he has started to release a few good looking 'hop ops' for us tankers. Also I was told some new gearboxes was to be released in not so distant future

I think the fact that they spent a lot of time and money producing their Panther (which looks amazing) then both Tamiya and HengLong released theirs, didn't help them much.
