RC Tank Warfare community hobby forum

What on earth did we ever do before forums such as this existed? It's no wonder no-one uses a library any more.
Anyway .... managed to convince my son that for his 9th birthday, a RC tank would make a far better present than a pet degu. So did some research and ended up having to settle for my second choice of tank as it was the only one that I could order for it to arrive in time for his birthday.
So on opening his present he became the very proud owner of a Heng Long M41A3 Walker Bulldog. To say that he was ecstatic is an understatement, as he claims it to be the best day of his life. Bless him!
We are already about to purchase our first upgrade - some better batteries, so the lad is well and truly hooked.
For dad - the next thing I will be doing is posting a question relating to painting the tank as I don't have a clue where to start.
Have had a little look around the forum and has given me some inspiration to turn the tank into something unique for the little one - so thanks to you all.

This hobby offers more than being hooked! it's an addiction.
Enjoy your model, the conversion, adding camouflage and weathering etc.

Proceed with caution, always check the Blacklisted traders/dealers. Avoid these.

We do have very Trusted Traders they will give you excellent service, and follow-up guidance if you need it.

Hi there.
He's really loving it. Have had his mates around so that he can show off his new hobby. Even gladly parted with the cash he was given for his birthday in order to buy some battery upgrades.
Have discovered that a friend of a friend has been into painting tanks for a few years - so hoping to preen some advice from him.

Interesting to hear of rogue traders. Something I hadn't contemplated so thanks for the warning.
I wish there was a shop nearby but the next best thing is that I have learnt that a friend of a friend has been painting tanks for a few years, so I am planning on extracting as much advice from him before putting paint to model.
