Hi All
I wanted to make sure I'm painting the schurzen correctly, back in red oxide and front in camo, surely both sides of schurzen are not painted in camo colour are they ??
Cheers
Jake

I always paint mine the base color of the tank on the rear of the panel and camo on the front. I don't know if this is correct however. It will be interesting to see what others have to say. My reasoning is this, primer is porous and therefore attracts moisture which would cause the panel to rust, sooner than later. So the rear gets a coat of paint to seal the metal. And of course I'm speaking of the real 1:1 tanks.

Hi Jake,
I normally paint the back red oxide then a mist coat of the base colour so some of the ox shows through and chip along the top edge. Brian...

Thanks chaps, good to know there's a couple of different options, I like your idea Brian spraying a mist of the base coat over the oxide, either that or I'll leave just the oxide..cheers Jake
