This section is for builds that are not strictly Tamiya or Heng Long. For instance, replacing the electronics from a WSN or Matorro, or even a scratch-build.

You can do this with the elevation but there isn't any point in doing it. If you do use a servo for elevation you would want to use a gear to drive the elevation. Using a link can be sloppy function. Plus you have a lot of leverage to overcome so a gear system works best. The stock unit does the job well and saves you time and money.

Well, then I have to look into it, the stock elevation unit doesn't have enough range in motion, especially in depression. Is there a lever inside that can be modified? I guess adding a bit longer leverage would be enough.

For the oil I used Mig ( old ) MIG - Oil and Grease Stain Mixture - P410
Ammo Fresh engine oil
ak fuel stains
