'HERTA'

This has been a project on and off for a while, updating, redoing, painting etc etc, you know how it gets-you think you're finished and then something else catches your eye :D

This is my Tiger 1 'Herta'. She was a standard HL until I used a Taigen lower hull and uprated the gearboxes, 2.4 added, metal sprockets and idlers, kept the plastic road wheels and tracks as: A, spent too much on her 8O and B, I find the tracks okay.

She has been re-painted and various bits and pieces added, I scratched made the spare wheel carrier-wanted something different and to make her mine, she has a long range water (wassa) tank fitted and I removed the filter hoses, mainly for ease of removing the top hull with aching painful hands, kept the filters and added some mesh.

So, here she is, may I present to you, 'Herta'.

The tank looks just great, but every time I hear "Herta" I instantly think of Bryan Herta, the race car driver. Good dependable chap that had a successful career and is now a team owner. That's in Indy car, not F1, but I think it still counts. We can't all hang out at Silverstone, ya know. @) @) @)

Nicely done. Not to much or to little weathering or added dodads.
