Why this antenna has a wire? What is the operation of this antenne how it works ?

I bought it on rctank.de... As for me, this wire isn' t necessary, but for some HL and other tanks with 27MHz radio it could be usefull.

AFAIK , the newer 2.4G radio has a micro antenna built-in, only the 27M has an external one.

Interesting...I always thought they were made of wood. Seems like most military pioneering tools used wooden handles well into the '90s.

Eddy those are some incredible parts to upgrade your panther. I'm sure to follow this and can't wait to see the finished product! Really admire your soldering skills super job!
