Actually it's my better half telling me to get my posterior into gear. leaving tomorrow for Europe and back at the end of November. I'll try and drop in on my travels if wifi allows. I shall now have to go cold turkey until then with no space for any tanks in the motorhome (I thought of trying to smuggle the Abrams to play with on the beach but have been threatened with doom and destruction and anyway there's not one cubic centimetre of spare space in the van :'( :'()

See you all in December
Alwyn

Hi Herman yes it's great to be able to just get on a train under the channel and wander round Europe and I was feeling really sorry for you ..... and then I thought, hang on a mo, your little island is admittedly stuck on it's own down at the bottom of the globe BUT your island is bigger than the whole of Europe
http://matadornetwork.com/trips/just-ho ... ia-anyway/
and has one of the most diverse and interesting ecologies on the planet!!! Actually I would have loved to come over to Oz and hire an RV and travel around but with our hounds and the cost of getting there, hiring an RV, getting health insurance etc just made it prohibitive.
Thanks anyway for the kind words and I'll keep in touch.

Surely then you must take a little deviation. "Let's go to Tarragona - beaches and historic ruins"

And 'accidentally' stumble on the Panzodrom in Reus!

Hi Estniche, yes I'd forgotten about that post and didn't realise it was near Tarragona which we will be driving rear/through. I must try and contact them and get their location
Thanks for that
Alwyn

Hi All, we are currently in Mazarron near Cartagena and are enjoying the balmy weather. 30C plus during the day and then it drops to 18/19C at night. Not doing a great deal except cycling around and walking the dogs. I can't wait to get back and continue my projects though, I wish I'd found space for my Abrams tank so at least I'd have something to play with on the beach - definite withdrawal symptoms here.
Anyway at least I can keep up with what's going on with the forum. Loving the tank of the month!

Anyway I'll be seeing you all again in December
best regards
Alwyn
