Hello all

I was wondering if I could start a thread to compile information on the various options available for Tamiya single motor clutched tank models -

I believe you can install twin HL motors running off the RX18, and some other quality twin motor sets, but my memory tells me I have seen somewhere users who have put one motor on each of the gear trains. If you want to post your creations here it may be of interest and a big help to other restorers on the forum - thanks :D

I seem to recall from years ago that someone somewhere did a conversion kit for a twin motor setup?

The cheapest easiest option would be to pull the Tamiya setup, install a flat styrene floor, and screw two HL style gearboxes in there. That way you could install any electrics that you wanted and it would all run perfectly.

I used ibu2 and a micro servo to control the steering arm to the gearbox.
