We did a model show last Sunday, and had a great time. There was a complete Tamiya Leopard base on our tables that no one wanted despite being available for £20.
Anyway, this dashing chap that I recognised comes along, I mentioned that it was sat there and he might be interested, so he goes and has a look. Another club member decides to be helpful and the conversation goes something like this.
Member: It's a Tamiya base, off a Leopard.
Buyer: Yes, I know.
Member: It's got all the running gear on it.
Buyer: Yes, I know.
Member: They are high quality.
Buyer: Yes, I know.
Member: You're McEvoy aren't you?
Buyer: Yes.
Member: I'll shut up then.
