Hi, I'm after a little help. I have a Matorro KT which I've had for some time. Used to work OK though the elevation was a little troublesome. Shortly before I moved the 3 year old from next door followed his brother into my shed and knocked all the controllers on to the floor. After that none of the turret functions would work.Wwhen I moved I had a look at the controller and discovered a broken bit that I repaired. After that the BB would work but not the elevation and traverse. Had another look at it recently, tweeked some bits but no change. Took the tank apart to see whether any wires had come adrift but all looks OK. Its a pre RX 18 board in there though most functions are sockets the turret is hard wired from the board to the socket for the upper hull/turret wiring. Anyone got any idea where else to look/fiddle? I'm wondering whether the board in the controller was damaged but electronics are not my thing. Would it be possible to upgrade everything to an RX18 and new controller though I see that everything now seems to be 2.4GHZ. Is it even worth repairing or should I start the persuasion campaign to get my wife to agree to a shiny new one???
Regards
Dug
Now down to one Tiger!

Hi dug, i too have a cammo matorro kt, i had a look inside mine and yes all the wiring seems to be in plug connections like the rx 18 hl, i dont know if the motors are same draw as hl ones and if they would fry an rx18 board. to be honest i really like the matorro kt despite the bulge on the front glacis plate and older electronics, you dont see many about now. if it was me i would keep it and upgrade the internals.this is mine,

Thanks Stuart. My problem is that the controller seems to have gone west otherwise it would be running about the garden. My only reason for upgrading is to get it to work properly again. I'd send you a photo if I could work out how to insert photos in posts.
regards
Doug

Hi doug i think most use photobucket to post here, take your pic on photobucket so its in your library there, then select the image on pb and on right hand box copy image then paste here. Hope that helps. if you still want to keep your tank , cheapest and easiest is probably to fit an rx18 board and controller.

Hi Herman, just saw your posting. I've got nothing to swap as such. the KT; a tiger and a pantiger. Happy to pay postage but wonder how much it would cost from your neck of the woods? Regards Doug
