Good morning! A beauty of a Pershing! Looks like a Hybrid build of Tamiya and HL and Mato parts. Those always turn out the best. Did you use full metal suspension or just the idlers and front road wheels to weight the front a little? Loving the detail!

Hi guys

She really is a hybrid bits of parts. She was one of the original heng Long Pershing releases way back when that I bought for my son. First thing to do was rip out all the old rc gear and install an RX 18 then I also took the time to upgrade the main gun to a flash unit ( through a tamiya barrel )and run a second flashing mg source using fibre optics into the turret. The main change was the road wheels. I found a way to swap out the plastic henglong ones for the full rubber tyre Tamiya ones and they look and run amazingly well. The turret had its seams removed and filled so thats never coming open again and then it was lots of my resin stowage ( and added straps so the bags dont just magically stick to the side of the tank !) and finding the right dusty field. Lower hull: HL
Upper hull: HL
Turret: HL
Road wheels: Tamiya
Tracks: HL
Sprocket & idler: HL
Main gun: Tamiya

Correctamundo. The biggest change being the wheels which just make it feel and look so much more than it actually is really.

Rocketman a very nice Pershing, the detailing is really nice and the photos I really like.

Very nicely done Pershing. The only thing I can fault is the telephone box on the rear combined with the inner periscope guards on the front. Hard to tell if you were tying to make it a WW2 or a Korean war version.
Really like the place you took the photo's in which could be in either of those areas of conflict.

Thanks I didn't know that. So which conflict had which fitting? Tbh wasn't going for period accurate, I never do. As long as it looks right at a basic level I'm a happy tanker. Have to admit my focus tends to be on the paint job rather than historical accuracy but that's just my thing.
The setting is a new one I've tried but been looking at for ages. It's damn neat perfect for this type of thing, loose soil on a raised area with a drop off to distant scenery. Will be using again for sure.
