Hi Chaps
Just received a search light from east coast armory..
trying to think of a good way to get a reflective look inside the light.
I was thinking maybe paint inside either white or silver I've got a bottle of this liquid from mig that gives a glassy effect I could paint over the silver, only have gun metal for the silver might be tad to dark. So white maybe best ?
,Has anyone else done one of these who might have a better idea?
Cheers
Jake

Hi Jake , the best silver I have found is 'Alcad ' - but you do need an airbrush to apply it ( over a black base ). B.

Tamiya do a chrome paint pen which for this purpose might suit. Agree on Alclad though very good but can be tricky to get right!
Nice search light though!

Thanks Blimp, Tom
Chrome pens seem hard to come by in UK would have to wait a few weeks from Hong Kong, might go for one of those tho..cheers

JAKE, I have just "GOOGLED" Chrome Paint and there is pages of it both spray and brush in enamel as well as acrylic and all readily available in the UK.

nice one thanks Tom.
Shaun I only typed in Tamiya marker in BING as I fancied the idea of paint pen for the job but good to know there's a whole lot of other sprays and paints thanks, I did however see the humbrol little tubs for a few pounds in Chrome! I might grab one of those if Tom hasn't a marker.

Jake, Pentel make Paint pens in three different nib sizes that you fill with Acryic paint and when you are finished just wash it clean under a warm tap, I use mine to make up stencils and the nibs can be trimmed to an exact shape with a craft knife,
Cassart sell them and it soon becomes one of those tools which make you ask however did I manage without one before ?
Shaun.
