Sounds good. A friend has one and it's not bad.

I've got two Elmod's, the sound is only half the story, the 100 odd parameters that you can adjust to get the tank running exactly how you want it are amazing, but on top of that the sound manager program allows you to adjust the volume of each individual sound as well, eg you can make the gun way louder than the engine if you want to. It also has electronic gearchanges, so that the tank lurches during acceleration, with sounds to match.
Love the video this guy made...

How is the Elmod programmed? I want to try one and I want to learn how to do this programming stuff, same with the IBU3. I'm going to just get my own small laptop so I know what's on it and only use it for my tanks.

It isn't programmed as such it is configured. You just install the program on your pc, run it, plug the tank into the pc/mac via a usb cable, and switch the tank on. The pc detects the board and all of the current settings are loaded into the on screen program.
From that point all you are doing is moving slider bars about, clicking in checkboxes etc. It's all crystal clear, you get a help pop-up on each control that tells you what it does, and what different settings do. You can even start the tank up on the tx while it is plugged in so that you can test the changes. If you mess anything up you simply change it back, or you can reset the whole board back to default at any time.
The sound manager is a separate program, you put your sd card into your pc, and select the tank sounds that you want on screen. You can then adjust all sorts of settings in there as well.

That sounds easy! But then the IBU3 update was easy for everyone else, apparently I'm the only moron who screwed it up.

I just hope Ian can straighten it out.
It's going on 2 months that I pre ordered the ASP2 and they're still not sure when it'll ship, think it's time to just cancel the order for a refund and buy an Elmod instead.

Don't like the start up or the slow return recoil, otherwise it's quite good. And only £150??

It's all configurable, the start point, the end point, the recoil and return speed, you just set it up where and how you want it. There is pretty much no such thing as 'I don't like the way the Elmod does this or that', everything can be configured to suit the owner and the tank that it is in. Whenever anyone looks at a tank with an Elmod in it and says that it makes me chuckle, as what they are looking at is a tank set up that way. Sure there is a default configuration, but I can't think of anything that cannot be adjusted.

Thanks Pete.
Never seen one return so slowly.
I'd like to hear one with the perimeters setup well.
