Control boards?

I see people tend to use one of three control boards, Clark, IBU, elmod. Since I am looking for a upgrade from the stock hl board I would like to hear from people who use these boards.
Their pro's and cons, and why you like that particular board. I'm also needing to keep cost in mind. Something that won't cost an arm, leg, and marriage.
Thank you all in advance.

I purchased a Clark board as my first after market board. I also purchased the programming remote for it. Both were faulty and I never could, nor could others, including Clark himself, make it work. I then tried an IBU2 base and had very good customer service and the board worked very well from the start. I now own four. I know the Clark is the cheapest of the bunch and others love them. In my opinion, the IBU2 has better sounds. And from what others are saying, the IBU3 is better yet.

Don't forget the new replacement for the "ASP" control board, the "ASP 2" Find it on ------

Click on E-Shop .
The original "ASP" is probably the closest I have come to "Plug & Play" and it is only a little longer than the Heng Long "RX18"

I was told the Clark boards have blown with 7.4 volt lipo batteries. Sooo I was thinking maybe a ibu2. I have no experience with RC models so thought this was the best way to decide on what I wanted to go with. The elmod seems nice but I think out of my price range. Same as the ibu3.
Although I may save up the little extra and do the ibu3, I just wanted to hear from the seasoned vet's before I made up my mind. Thank you.

Hi Jimigood.

I did this comparison of the different systems a few years back, so a little out of date.

I think since then there has been the follow new boards

ASP/ASP2
IBU3
TK24/60
Elmod Fusion
