"Tiger 1 Metal Rear Panel"

I managed to break a mounting lug off of a Tiger 1 rear panel, :{
Fortunately I had a spare one from an old Heng Long Tiger 1, So now I am just finishing it ready to re-install BUT I am sure that I have seen Tiger 1 rear panels made of Metal somewhere but I cannot find it,
My first thought was "Aeromate" and then "Ludwigs" but I could really do with some help,
It does not need to have any fixtures or fittings because I have that covered.
Shaun.

The Mato Tiger 1 metal rear panel arrived this morning,
Dave (Forgebear)had already PMd me that it was short on the bottom of the panel compared with Heng Long or Taigen,
I have just checked it out against a Taigen panel it is identical including the position of the mounting lugs EXCEPT there is a 2mm shortfall on the bottom and that is not even a challenge,
Thank you Dave and by the way I have just placed------
www.forgebeartanks.com
on my favourites list. :thumbup:

What with my Asiatam Panzer 4 metal hull and the Grandchildren on holiday I have only just applied myself to the Metal back panel supplied as ever very speedily by Dave. :thumbup:
As I mentioned before it needed a length of 3mm brass tube which I soldered onto the base of the back plate and after that it was just a little fettling,
It clearly was not supposed to be fitted onto a Taigen Hull but in future when next I am in the market for another Tiger 1 I will order a metal back plate from Dave at the same time.
Apart from the cost of the Metal panel the only other outlay was an 11.5 cm long x 3mm brass tube, (4) 10mmx3mm countersunk neodymium magnets and a piece of 16cmx2cmx2.5mm plasticard. and a couple of M3 screws and in exchange for a couple of hours working out how to do the fix I now have the peace of mind that the fragile locating tabs on the old plastic back panel are a thing of the past. :haha:
