Tamiya KT elevation

Good morning gents. I have recently developed a problem with my elevation unit. When I activate the TX stick to raise the barrel, the barrel will rise about half way and then will fall. I can tell that it is trying to raise but just won't. I've checked the elevation unit and all seems fine. Metal arm has not come loose, spring is in place, and the white cup is seated on the brass ball. All of the gear teeth appear to be fine and the worm gear on the motor is not slipping. Any ideas?

Is it the gear with the clutch slipping?

Sounds like a cog slipping on a shaft

Is it the plastic part that connects the elevation arm to the gun/recoil unit?
Could have rounded off.

The gear does slip when the metal arm hits the stops, but I don't see it slipping before it hits the stops. Thanks for the reply Del.

It's not that Adam, everything is nice and tight. Thanks for the reply.

I haven't removed the elevation unit to check each gear for slippage, I'll pull it out and check. Thanks for the reply Dragon245.

blue gears steal them from six speed box .
Do not last long

I've heard of some gluing the gears or replacing the gear with a blue one but I don't have a clue as to which one that might be. I'll check the part number you provided and I should be able to just match it up. Thanks Kiaser.

Yes it was the gear slipping. I removed that gear and glued the two parts together. Works fine now. I also ordered the gear box that Kiaser gave me the part number to so I'll have some gears on hand.
Thank you all for the replies.
