Hi guy's,
Does anybody know if tamiya do a rattle can spray that can be used for Russian armour ? I'm going to repaint my kv2 so I would like to do the base coat using a can as the kv has a large area to cover. I can then do the shading and other bits and pieces with the airbrush, just looking for a green suitable for russian armour
Cheers, Lee.

Tamiya doesn't make a Russian Green that I know of. They make a Dark Green TS-2 in a spray can. I've used their jar Dark Green XF-61 but I think it's a little dark. My Soviet builds are painted with Vallejo Russian Green, also called OLIVGRUN RLM80.

Thanks for the replies fella's

I normally use vallejo for all my painting, brush and airbrush, I have used the vallejo russian 4bo set to paint 1/35 models , I was only looking for similar in a rattle can to save me airbrushing the base coat on, I was going to use the vallejo set I have then for the shadows and highlights , looks like I'll be in for a longer session of airbrushing then

This is not the best picture but it's the colour I'm after, I painted this 1/35 kv a few years ago using the vallejo russian green 4B0 set, the tones don't show up too well in the picture mind,

I know what you mean kiaser, you can get a lot more stuff in 1/35 scale from figures to vehicles, that's the only downside to 1/16
