Finally I had a chance to make some progress on the m36, thanks to Ian I got myself a shiney new ibu3 installation proved fairly simple, alas I couldn't get it configured properly as my work laptop wouldn't let me install the software. Hopefully I can get a video of her running soon. Getting a Tamiya speaker to fit proper proved difficult with the henglong rotation fouling it. So I had to cut most of it off. In retrospect it would have been easier to make a new speaker box. I've also removed the incorrect travel lock of the glacis.

Can't wait to see it all set up and in action! Hard to tell from pictures,in the back below the rotation, what is the available
height clearance for a speaker? Is it clear to where the metal cross plate used to be? Or would the rotation motor have to move towards the front for that?
Thanks:)

Hey Tom, you have to cut the speaker down pretty much down to the level I had, I thought about moving the rotation unit but there's nowhere else for it to go, it fouls the gearboxes at the front.

Hmm too bad it can be mounted where the white plate is or near the lower gearbox but everything looks larger in the photos!
What is the max height you can get a speaker box with the rotation motor where it is Tom? Thanks:) T

I am guessing 2 inches would clear? :)

I'd say so, however there are afew obstructions that need to be cleared by the speaker, the rear bogie mount and a ridge about half an inch high that goes across the rear of the tub.

Hey Tom I just one of these in the RTR version, waste of money as the Clark board sucks! Anyway it came with those 2 small Mato speakers which sound really good. I'm going to put one if my IBU2 boards in it this afternoon and see how it runs, I can't stand the way the Clark board works. I'll post up some pics later on.
