Flak 36 Emplacement

I'm not sure this is entitled to be here as there is not a tank in sight, I have built this for the Bristol Armoured Division battlefield. It ha been a bit of a combined op - Andy provided the Flak 36, Rob assembled and painted it and printed the extra ammo boxes. I cut up a piece of plywood and stuck various bits and pieces on it. The Panzerdrom from Jussek and his friends provided the inspiration and aspirations. I have a way to go before I get anywhere near their standard, if ever, but this is my first attempt.

That is an absolute work of art, I wondered what you were doing with all of those different bits and pieces!

The Unteroffizier(?) on the astroturf hillock is on the lookout for tanks,... and this validates the presence of this exceptional diorama here :D Well, if we can have Hitler's Mercedes, a porcelain dog, and a viaduct.. I posted that pic..)...not to mention Diana Rigg's derriere (me again :{ ) and even more incongruities , what could be more fitting than an 88 emplacement? Whilst Jussek's creations are beyond mere, and above average, mortals this is- nevertheless- an exceptional team effort. All the elements combine beautifully, but I'm most impressed with the rendering of the scaled down grass, and the bare earth patches....(Luckily, none of the crew
has relieved himself on them just yet; but I bet they did in theatre :haha: )..

Thanks for all the kind comments. There were several times when I thought my ideas greatly exceeded my abilities. It will take its place on the battlefield a week on Sunday. I have made a start on the second one. At least with dioramas, I have a vague idea what I'm doing. Tanks and tank electronics are still a complete mystery. I would love to do an allied one, but there seems to be a great shortage of appropriate hardware. Any suggestions will be gratefully received.

If you need any help with anything to do with electrics just shout. More than happy to help you after the effort you have put into the scenery.

That's just great. Get just the right sized sturdy box to store it in and you can move a whole scene on and off the battlefield in mere seconds. Very impressive, Young Skywalker. 8)

You seem to lack a bit of confidence in your abilities, and you need to get over that. You do very, very good work, so maybe you should get used to the idea. @)

In fact, if you were to create a video tutorial for how you made those sandbags I'm quite certain I won't be the only RC Tanker that will welcome that effort with open arms. It really is true that the most sincere form of flattery is imitation, and I have no problem admitting that I would very much like to imitate a few of those tasty little sand bags.

Any further info on those ammo boxes would also be welcomed. When you say "printed" do you mean 3D printed?
