I read on another forum that Taigen is going to release an all metal chassis for Heng Long's Leo2. It will have a new torsion bar suspension, metal road wheels, idlers, etc. An Abrams chassis to follow.

I was told that when the Leo first came out, still haven't seen it.

I saw photo's yesterday. It will also have a removable back plate. The switches for the tank will be located in the rear plate as well.

This sounds like the exact same one that Carson has right now. Is it just a pre-release to DKLM and then a general release ? Taigen did that with the Panther chassis as well.
I have Carson's if anyone wants to know more. It is a cast lower, rod type torsion bar suspension, two switches on the back plate.

Good morning Michael, that chassis looks different than what I saw. At least the suspension looks to be different for the Leo.

Joe, Hi, I have just come from that Forum and two points stand out, First, IMEX-ERIK said that the chassis pictured is not the production product but a pre-production prototype and second, while I desperately want it to be a metal chassis especially as an "ABRAMS" and possibly a "CHALLENGER2" Hull will be built, nowhere does it actually say METAL.
Shaun.

Hi Shaun, reading between the lines if you will permit me to do so, and I will paraphrase, he says that it will be similar to their Sherman chassis in that it will be a stamped one piece chassis. Knowing that the Taigen Sherman hull is metal, and that the photo's appear to show a metal chassis, I made that assumption. You're right however in saying that he, Erik, does not use the word metal. We'll see.

JOE, I have just been looking at IMEX-ERICs pictures again and of course you are quite right it is definitely METAL.
Sorry for doubting you sir.
Shaun.

No need for that my friend, you've been right too many times before when I've needed your help and advice.
