Hi All

What can I say about myself?

Apart from the fact I am a complete newbie to this

Like probably a few of you I have bought a Heng Long Tiger 1, the reason I went for the HL (apart from the cost) and not the Tamiya was I wanted a building block to start working on myself.

So far I have replaced the copula, loader hatch, escape hatch and extended the barrel.  I have also purchased pistol port, metal gears, metal sprockets, metal idlers, metal tracks, head lamps and hull machine gun.

My intention is to slowly build an early version tiger 1 and try and get it as accurate as possible (haven't decided upon camoflague yet).

So if any of you learned people feel charitable and want to throw some advice my way it would be most welcome.

Has anyone seen any metal storage bins for the HL Tiger 1, I have been browsing the web without much luck

Thanks for your time and hopefully some advice

Hi Jim,
Welcome to our addiction! I've not seen any replacment bins out there (other than the very early double bin design - Tankzone has the kits), but some of the guys here have made their own lids and done other mods like the rear lifting point. Hopefully they will be able to give you some ideas.

Thanks All

For such a warm and friendly welcome, I have looked at the links and I am amazed at what can be done and many thanks for the links to the camoflague (my target is to get it ready for painting by November).

Could anyone point me in the right direction for a 1/16th scale  german tank crew in winter clothing (winter hat etc..).

Once again many thanks for your welcome and advice

Hi Jim ,
Welcome to the site . You will get plenty of good advice on here . Im reasonably new and people on here are very frendly and helpfull . I to am working on a Heng Long Tiger 1 or should I say revamping it . Mines a late war version tho post April 44 from ss 101 number 212 . I keep finding things to alter . The more you read or get advice on here the more you do to your tank which is all good .
