Hi! I have a Asiatam Panzer IV and Im planning to buy the (goddamn expensive) Tamiya Panzer IV suspension. Has anybody installed it? Im a bit worried about compatibility. Could somebody tell me the dimensions of the tamiya road wheels?
And if you know a cheap place to buy that bits would be great, Jasons store seems to have stopped stocking tank parts.

Rad if you look at the banner of the Forum front page, look right and you will see the title "DOWNLOAD" click and scroll down to the "TAMIYA" panzer 4 "PDF" click and enjoy.
And AD LAV is spot on with "AXEL'S"

Hi guys, yeah, I took a look to that PDFs some time ago, thanks!
That why I know all that I need to buy and how much it costs (about 140 euros...) but the only way to know if that pieces fits the asiatam hull and asiatam metal wheels is asking to somebody that has already done it.

Diameter of the Tamiya road wheels are 30mm and the dual wheels are aprox 18mm deep. Let me know if you need any other measurements.

Now I know why I can't find any "ASIATAM" PZ4 Metal Hulls YOU have got the monopoly on them.

Take a look at my pics I posted on this thread..

I bashed a Tammy PZ4 suspension to a HL hull. It worked like a charm, but I used all tammy parts including roadwheels, tracks, drive sprockets ect, as the offset needs to line up and I noticed the stock HL/Asiatam parts where closer inboard to the hull than the Tammy pieces.

Thats what I needed, thanks!
The Asiatam metal wheels diameter is about 28.5mms, and the two of them together are about 14 mms. The gap between both wheels is about 2 mms. It looks like the wheels wont rub one with the other like it does with the asiatam suspension springs, but I will probarbly need to shim the wheels.

And the lasts questions for those Tamiya owners, does it worth the money to invest in that suspension? Or better I stick triying to fix the asiatam one? What about the track tensioner, does it works good?
