Tiger in captivity...

- Hints of battle damage
I rarely visit Englandshire, and driving is currently tricky with my busted ankle healing all too slowly...but a friend offered to drive to me Bovington, so I could limp around the treasures on offer there.Incidentally, the friend in question is female (from Mauritius; where they sometimes make them delicious) and- given the shortage of places for ladies to take a nap at the museum, her sacrifice is all the more remarkable, and a true benchmark of friendship, in my opinion.

That said, she glazed over nicely with another femme, on a bench, by the Porsche King Tiger. Anyway, for those contemplating modelling Tiger 131, I'm posting a few pics.

- Even more authentic evidence of 6-pounder attack

- Nice paint job..

- Full frontal with leaky bits

- What you don't want to see through a Sherman periscope..
But this made me laugh- the Renault teapot. This is the tank that Patton cut his teeth in (and maybe more besides)l:

- Motorised teapot for British allies..

- The great man himself..or so he claimed

Yes, I noted your contribution a little later. Some good, crisp images there. Sadly, I wasn't able to stick around for Tiger day...and that's why I didn't post in 'events'; but at least the ticket I bought will be valid for some time yet (value for money.. in this rip off world). I may venture south again at some future date, but it's over 620 miles from here- the Highlands- to Bovington. The Museum needs at least three visits for the armour addict
to obtain the required 'fix'.Och well, I'm two visits short...

That w/b very cool to see in person, thanks for posting! I remember seeing the "Aberdeen" Tiger 1 & 2, which are an hour from me years ago when I was little, but I don't have any pics of them, regrettably. I do have some pics from the early 90s somewhere of the Jagdtiger and others. It was always so sad to see them in the state they were kept in, it made me sick and upset over the crappy paint jobs etc.
