I have never seen anyone do this on a hull mounted machine gun before, it looks quite clever I reckon.

Yes I saw that video a little while ago, I'm going to have a go at doing it on my next Tiger, been thinking of ways to do it and got some ideas in my head. :)

I just did the servo mod in the Jagdtiger

and with the Asp I have two switches for the two guns so I'm thinking of adding the servo MG mod to this tank as well. The Asp leaves channel 8 open and there's an extra pot on the 9XR so why not, eh? @)

That video is more about the model matching, but it shows how I have two separate switches for the two different MG34s. I like it, and think it's very convenient.

The Tamiya Tiger has the ball socket molded as functional. If you mount a servo on the inside and run the LED wires through the servo horn, you get a nice raking MG. I usually Y clip the servo into steering so it moves with the driver when using 4 channels. If 6, I set it up with the gear channel and mix that to trigger firing too. To get an even better effect, use a Turnigy chip and you can set the rates of how fast it moves so you can rake while firing, but let it slowly move back when not firing.
