Can any of you lads let me know how to post pictures on the forum please? Being a newbie here, I want to join the action by showing my M4A3 105 and maybe later my Firefly project. ;)

I'm using Windows 8.1 and with my 'other' forum, pics are uploaded without the use of Photobucket or Imageshack and is direct from file to forum. 8)

Cheers lads 8)

Not here. You'll have to upload to photobucket first.

You can upload photos direct. If you use full Editor, upload attachment will accept photos. You may need to reduce the file size. I use image batch. It's free. That's how I post my photos.

The only reason you would need image batch, if you follow my scenario, is that the forum has a maximum image size (which I can't remember). You can always try uploading one of your pictures as an attachment in the full editor and see what happens.

Using paint is easy just resize your picture down until it is all visible in the paint area. that will give you around 200 kb size that you can post but do not attempt to resize up if you get to small or you will loose detail. Instead cancel your resize with the little arrows an the dashboard and resize again. Keep doing this until you have a pic that fills the paint screen on the left side. Then save it. Click back on paint and it will show the pics size at the bottom. Anything under or slightly over the 200 kb size can then be uploaded as an attachment. Not sure how much over 200 you can go but it's accepted mine in 235. Think you can only upload 10 pics at a time before you have to go back and upload another 10 as a new post.

Make a copy picture to try this out on first so you don't loose the detail of the original large picture.

Thank you lads; when the home improvements have died down a bit, I will give it a go and post up my Shermans

I can honestly say I've never spent so much time trying or found it soo difficult to post pics anywhere as here, mostly says file too big ok cracked that one and resized. Now trying to post pics that I've posted here already it says either too big or Web site not available.
