A little backyard fun!

The majority of our back yard is patio, due to the drought here in CA lawns are becoming a thing of the past in my area. Anyway one little area looks like this from the patio

But if you move in a little closer I have just started my own mini tank area. It's small not good for battles, but will be a fun place to drive them and maybe take photos.

Looks a little flat but I have built it up with dirt and rocks.

And I have piers in for a bridge , just have to decide on a design.

It's basically a loop , but should be fun! still a bit more clearing and maybe start on a bridge tomorrow
Cheers Mark
I think maybe this should have been posted in another area, sorry!

It's more then what I got! Throw in a few vehicles, a building or 2 maybe 3 and even if it's not that big it'll look great.
Shame how you guys don't get rain anymore. Wonder how long it will be before Cali becomes mostly abandoned due to no water.

Thank you , I am already thinking of a building or two, even have a plug out there so can add some lights.
It is getting a little scary with water around here, we had a good few weeks and that will help but still need lots more.
Cheers

Nice area to play. About those small stones, I found I can not drive any of my tanks over there. Sand, water, mud, long grass, big rocks... Everything is ok except those damn little stones.
You could replace it with whathever you want. Id go with compressed sand. A bit hard for me to explain in english, I mean if you put some sand with water and then you walk over there some times when its dry it would be somewhat hard. After that a bit more of sand over there would be nice, like desert dust.

Thank you for the ideas, yes little stones are horrible
I may try compressed dirt, or maybe roofing roll material, it's fun coming up with ideas. Cheers

The gravel road was removed and it's just dirt now. And I used the gravel to make a dry riverbed under the bridge. Pretty happy w the bridge. A few more pics

Cheers Mark
