Hi All
I'm having small prob with the gears moving slightly on the metal hull, there the 5/1 gears and was lead to believe they were a straight fit, I have the two screws in each gear but after a few runs I could see there was some movement and now the tracks are slipping...Anyone else had this problem..? are you drilling another hole? seems silly they would sell gears do not fit their metal Tiger hull.
Cheers
Jake

Yep, Jake same problem, and same disbelief. Had to drill an extra hole, for each motor (at the front,) and then fit self- tappers to hold the plates in place. That was a quicker fix than dismantling it all to fit screws and nuts...

Exact same issue with my Taigen Tiger and the V3 all black Taigen gears. New hole needed on each side. Beautiful gearboxes though and the hulls are generally pretty decent. Didn't get either from Dave

I think the issue is that there are so many different products available, it’s no longer possible to be 100% fit in every situation.
Plus if you buy Taigen gearboxes and they say straight swap I guess only referring to their own chassis, not mato, heng long etc.

Thats funny you should say that, the Mato gearboxes i recently installed didn't fit the fixing plate they came with, but slotted into the stock holes!
