Hello fellow forumers,

The stock nylon gearboxes in my HL JagdPanther broke, so I'm looking at getting these as replacement.

My questions are:

- Do they come with motors?
- Do they fit the plastic lower hull without modification?

Either way on either question is fine, I can always fit the old motors if the new gearboxes don't come with any, and I could always use plasticard and a drill to make the new gearboxes fit the plastic lower if it doesn't out-of-the-box. I would just like to know in advance.

Straight swap, motors should even come with plugs...

Thank you for the quick reply! Seems I will have a spare set of motors. Are these new ones better than the original HL ones? Or roughly the same?

And click on the Gearboxes section you will find a list of all the TAIGEN gearboxes which also fit HENG LONG Tanks,
If you click on each picture you will get a little detail about that particular box including which Tank it is for,
All of the gearboxes come with motors and the correct plug,
The motors are at least as good as the HENG LONG ones and usually much better.
It is a very helpful site and worth looking at.

When I started this Hobby I wound agree with you Paul that Welsh Dragon is a great site, but seriously for the past six months or longer every time I visit the site in hope he may have restocked nearly everything is still out of stock... It beats me how this site remains to be highly recommended when it continuously has little and or very limited stock..

JAKE I was not recommending LERT buy from Welsh Dragon only that it has a very helpful section on Taigen /Heng Long gearboxes where he can gain a lot of information for when he decides to buy new gearboxes,
I figure if you are going to spend £50 on a pair of gearboxes it helps if you know what to ask for,
And if Welsh Dragon do have them in stock that is a bonus but wherever he goes to buy TAIGEN Gearboxes he won't be getting the wrong ones if he uses this site first for information.

The Taigen gearboxes have a larger diameter output shaft the the H/L gearboxes so the drive sprockets will not fit. However when I ran into this problem I simply broke out my drill found what size bit matched the new output shaft and drilled the hole in the drive sprockets out so they then could slid on the new output shaft with no problems. Also the new gearboxes will come with a new set of hex head screws that will fit them as the larger output shaft uses a larger screw.

After you drill the drive sprockets everything will fit and work perfectly. Hope this helps!
