Just wondered who makes the best 1/16th tank crews and where I can I get them from? Kind regards Andy

What nation are you looking at? Alpine does the nicest German stuff, but the sol and verlinden sculpts are nice too. Sol do some excellent American figures and for Russians heikkes modellbaugasse do some good ones. All these need to be assembled and painted. Toro do prepainted American and German figures.

At the moment Tom if I can get e few minutes out of pain I'm just concertrating on my German tanks so german tank crew for now,I not sure I am ready for painting tank crews yet but I'll have a go ,thanks for your help Tom regards Andy

I've just taken delivery of a Verlinden Tank Crew set of 4 figures. Sorry about the photo quality. You need to click on the photo to get the full picture.

The figures are unpainted resin castings, which require assembly. The detail on the castings is first class. Some work will need to be done however, to remove the casting sprues. Included in the box are a series of photo etched brass parts, one for each figure, and lengths of wire for headphone cables. If it will help, I will try to photograph the actual castings.

That Verlinden set of four is an excellent kit when made up and given a proper paint job, sold this one on a few years ago included with Panther I had for sale.
