By some kind of happy poetic coincidence my search for just the right kind of material for a gearbox cover on my Tiger ended with the outer packaging that my new Torro "Helmut Rossel" came in -->
What you cant see in the pic is that the thin perspex is curved round the back of the gearbox. With a couple of minor cutouts to allow room for the connectors its the perfect material to inhibit dust and reduce grease/oil splash.
