Hi All

Had a few old tamiya cans knocking around thought I'd try out the hairspray technique..not a great deal of build work done, added metal hull few other bits and bob's...originally a basic Heng Long..now runs metal tracks, 5/1 black steel gears, metal wheels, taigen turret recoil. ibu 2, couple speakers duel volume control tarr2 smoker..

Jake I cannot help wondering if the Cupola is going to be "Spot my deliberate mistake" or just like the fairy on the Christmas tree the very last thing to be done to what will be close to perfect. :haha:
Shaun.

That looks really good, Jake. Your mud is great, and I like the tie downs for the tow cables. Tell me more about how you did that part? Are you going to put the gun cleaning rods back, and do you have any plans for them, like wood or anything?

Hey, thanks guy's...that's maroon Aplha so yea a kind of purple I guess..I think you mix dark red and purple for maroon..I was waiting on an air compressor at the time so used up some old cans I had..doesn't look to bad just practice really... some of the chips are a little oversized to be realistic but I do prefer this method to painting the chips on....Shaun I was being lazy and left the cupola if I decide to keep hold of this one I'll change it...my newphew's offered to swap this for an m51 kit he got for his Christmas b'day present so the Tiger might be gone by the end of the weekend...Max I have no idea where the cleaning rods went they were painted ready and disappeared ..maybe the puppy ate them 8O and the tow rope holder's were bought... holes drilled in hull and they fit tightly no glue needed..

By God Jake :O ....I thought it was my eyes 8O ................ :haha: ...Looks like a Candy color lol.....and just a FYI....Purple as well as Maroon are derivatives of mixing Red with Blue ;) ....Purple being the Secondary color...Maroon a tertiary color by adding more red :D

YUP...Proud of it too :D ...No one else would do it :haha: ...Plus it's allowed in my Genre :haha: ...Actually anything goes really...I know someone who did a purple camo scheme because his grandson wanted it that way lol...So all is good with me :D ...part of the reason I left a note on how to mix purple ...should you need more ;) ..... :shifty:

PS. I didn't say I didn't like the purple...Should have gone full Hot Rod though...you know...some yellow flames silver pin stripes ...metalic undercoat ;)
