Hi my names del and I'm a tankaholic.

It's been 2 months since the last purchase but I fell off the wagon :haha:

It would be rude to not go the whole hog now they are here so the upgrades will start soon.

Three wasn't enough? I'm up to 20 and it's not enough! :)

Great tanks you have there, Del, and I can't wait to see what you do with them. I have the T34 but I think I need a hentec cuz it doesn't drive very well. If I can get it driving properly I have an Imex metal IR turret for it.

21 for me with one on the way. That's just 1/16 rc tanks. Once you get the bug its I think almost impossible to shake unless you run out of money.

When a T34 Torro metal edn. arrived the other day; I was in complete denial...'someone has sent me a tank! ; a late Christmas prezzie?..an early birthday prezzie?...maybe it's the wrong address, I muttered with mock disbelief?' But no....drat and double drat, I'd done it again. Last September, I was one-tank man.Now I'm a five tank man. This forum is populated by failed 'one-tank-men"..the mantra should be: .'Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change'..but the tracks, and metal hulls I can!! :haha: and so on and so on.
Overcoming temptation, as Oscar said, involves yielding to it! Better yield then..till the cash runs out; or the partner (should you be lucky enough to have one)

Well so far I've discovered that if I wasn't rc savvy and intending on tearing these apart but a newby just starting I'd already be disappointed with the rtr tank world.

The tiger was cheap but out the box the BB don't work and the t34 controller only works when standing on one leg facing due north with an easterly breeze lol.

Both came from different suppliers so we can't say oh he's dodgy,so this really must be the state of play.

Not really...the Sellers I've bought from usually will test the tank before sending it out...If not ..I usually ask them too...so far never had a problem with a New RTR...especially the T34....when that came out it still had the 1st Gen 2.4 rig...and even with that it had superb range
I wouldn't be sure about the sellers in the UK...but I would think they would have gave them a test run before sending...just to cover their tails

Certainly hope this is an isolated thing...as it could be they sent you returns from the Holidays

Now with that said....I wouldn't do anything else to them yet...contact your sellers ...and see if they will help you out..it's really a good way to find out how honest they are too ;)

If you got them from EBAY...call EBAY direct...explain your problem ...I know here in the US...I was told by an EBAY rep..they will send you a mailing label so you don't have to pay for the return shipping..I've never had to do that yet though...as like I said...all my tanks arrived in great running order

Sorry to say lads but there's another level to drop to after the mass purchase phase.

Its called scratch building the ones you want. Same pain level but drawn out over many months and years per tank......

I had to return the first two tanks I ever bought. Unfortunately this is very common with today's shipping. I've had tanks arrive with damage even after Erik personally checked them thoroughly. The Sturmtiger took such a hit the smoker was completely dislodged. You'll also find a lot of Heng Long tanks will arrive with a simple problem that's an easy fix. They're famous for the solder joint on the on/off switch giving way. A two minute fix but no way to know without opening the tank and it totally debilitates the tank until you do.

Alpha is right about the return postage so my advice is to send them back and make the seller pay postage. Who knows what else took a hit that hasn't totally given way yet? I know it sucks for the seller but I guarantee they'll test and properly pack the next tanks they send.
