I know taht someone is going to pop in and tell me that this has been asked before and that there is a link to it. I've tried and can't make it happen.

The trouble is that all my photos are way too big to upload on to the website and now that I have eventually finished a tank and want to show it off I don't know how to reduce the size of the file. I'm sure that you used to be able to do this in the very old versions of Windows but I've just got Windows 10 and am struggling to get past the 'Welcome' page!

I use a free program called ImageBatch to reduce my photos to an uploadable size. I set the width to 640 - it has worked so far. Please be careful only to work with copies, not the original photos. I then use the attachment facility in the full editor. For me it saves a lot of messing about with photobucket etc, and ensuring that you have the proper links. Hope this is of some help.

If you want to see what you get, check out my Tiger build thread in Tamiya builds. All the photos were taken with my phone and reduced using imagebatch.

Or you can just use Paint which is in WIndow 10. Just load the picture up and use the re-size drop down. The other tricky part is that the picture has to be smaller than 350Kb in size. You might have to find a re-size factor (i.e. 20%) save the picture just to see whether it is less than 350Kb before you can post it.

Another way is to download the tapatalk app on your phone, you can then subscribe to follow the forum and post threads and pictures through the app without any resizing or worrying about file size as the app does it all for you. I use the app mainly to upload pictures to the site but still prefer viewing through its original Web page , you can just switch between the two depending on what you want to do, HTH
