Hi there,
Although I've been a member for about a year, it's only now I've cleared my project area (aka the dining room table) and it's time to build my Tamiya JS2.
I've looked at pics and video and have invested in a airbrush kit. I've been into RC for as long as I can remember although cars and racing are my primary interests.
Something that's put me off is painting. I simply cant do it particularly well. I can build anything but put a brush in my hand and it all goes south. Anyway, I'm determined to at least have a go. Also, my GF is absolutely amazing artist and although has never handled an airbrush I'm hoping she can at least lend a hand.
My only thought at the moment is whether to jump straight in and build the JS2 or buy a 1/35 static and practice on that first.
I also have a Gepard. It's the 1/16 static model but I've looked into converting it to RC - I'd want the full works though so I know it's a little "involved". I think the Gepard is such a cool looking tank but I'd want to be confident I can do it justice before starting it.
