Hi guys,
I was thinking of getting either a heng long or Taigen king tiger.
My budget is small so i was thinking of taking the new tank apart weathering it etc then further down the road upgrading the electrics etc after the body work has been done.
What would you guys think is this the best route to go?
Thanks guys.

Hi Sarge, Welcome to the forum and I'm sure you will enjoy interacting with the guys on here, they are friendly and helpful so don't be shy about asking questions. Like you I am on a tight budget and my starter tank was a Heng Long Tiger that I bought as a spares/repair for £15, and then fixed it up for about another £20. There don't seem to be any of those around at that price anymore and rather than buy someone else's trouble you are probably better off buying new. There are some good deals on heng Long Tigers these days, or check out the for sale forum to see if anyone is parting with one of their tanks.
Anyway enjoy your new hobby and happy tanking!

Alwyn

Thank you Alwyn for your reply, right enough I would prefer to buy new.
There is a place near me that sells heng long and Taigen tanks.
I see that heng long makes a good few mistakes on the king tiger and tiger 1 but nothing that cant be rectified.
Regards,
Brendan.
