NEW to TANKS

Hello Everyone, I have just joined this Forum and thought I should introduce myself. My name is Pete, I am 57 years old and I live in Anglesey North Wales. I have never owned a r/c tank but after watching some on you tube I have become very interested in buying one. I would like to get hold of a Tiger 1, I have looked at the trusted vendors section on this site but unless I am mistaken (that wouldn't be a first lol) It seems that the only one who sells complete tanks RTR is Forgebear. I have looked at his shop on E-Bay but it says he is away. Can anyone on here tell me if this is correct or if he has stopped trading, If the later is the case, can anyone recommend a trusted seller for me to buy from.
Regards Pete.

Hi billpe, Thank you for that, I would like to get a Tiger 1 with IBU sound as i would like a Michael Wittmann copy. I thought of the IBU sound unit as i would like the tank to play the Panzer anthem as an intro as it starts of forward. I think i will wait for Forgbear to return from holiday and contact him as my starting point. Thanks again. Pete

Welcome, Pete and also to Anglesey..home to the Druids of Ynys Mon.

Like Billpe, I can recommend
www.rc.tank.de. I've bought all of my RTR tanks from Dominique there, with the exception of the Chally, and also many bits for a tiger project. That site ticks all the right boxes...for me, anyway. There are others, of course, and Forgebear is probably having a break..as suggested.

Hi 43rd and Thank You for the warm welcome, I will have a look at rctank.de as it is one vendor I have not seen so far, I was searching Evil-Bay where I came across Forgebear's shop and as he is a trusted seller on this forum thought it would be a good starting point. I also noticed a seller called Tank Depot 144, was just wondering if anyone on here has had any dealings with him, good or bad. All comments received with great interest.

Pete Hi, Welcome to the forum, Yes Dave is on holiday to the end of this week, I agree about
www.rctank.de but we also have Andrew as a member of the Forum and he trades under the name of-
www.hayaltd.co.uk
We in the Forum are getting used to him and he is based in Cardiff and has a wide range of Primarily HENG LONG Armour in different scales with a recently introduced "LEE GRANT" in 1/16,
It was his company that first introduced us in the UK to the HENG LONG Challenger, well worth a look and he will happily talk to you as of course will Dave.
Enjoy the Forum and keep asking the questions.
Shaun.

Good to have you along mate, its all upwards and exciting from here, especially for your bank statement !!
If you kid yourself "I will stop at three" best to get the understanding now that whatever your magic 'stop' number is, you will exceed it
Better off just accepting it, and buying as many as you can at once, then stockpiling................
