Stock plastic gearboxes with clutch locked

I recently locked the clutches of the stock plastic gearboxes of my HL Leopard 2A6, and replaced stock motors with blue skinned high speed motors (the motors were intended for steel gearboxes). The results are, the Leo2 has faster speed but when it encounters obstacle that it cannot overcome, instead of having slipping gears, the engine stops. My Leo2 has stock HL 2.4Ghz electrics.
My question is, have you ever tried the same and what was the result?

Greetings Steel....Never ever had an engine stop doing that....the most was the axle on one of the gears heating up so much it melted the plastic bearing
Had me LOLing a long time when I discovered it....But that's a different can of worms
I've seen your play area....to me there isn't anything there that should stall your gearbox/motor....so to me ...it could be you just need more juice...meaning a stronger Battery

The problem is just your electronics cant handle such a thirsty motor.
You need to change to another electronics.

Yes, I still use stock battery, and after use after use (from full until exhausted) I removed and found that the battery was so hot. As you have seen my playground, there are grass and stones. The drive sprockets suck a lot of grass and sometimes block it from moving. I have to remove the grass manually. Further, the plastic tracks tends to be thrown off and drive sprockets stuck. When things like that happen, the engine stops.
Here is the stock battery that I use. I think this one is more powerful than the yellow skin one.

Hi Steel...that battery...even though it's a Lithium...is about as good ...maybe just a tad better than stock...If the battery got Hot...it means that one just doesn't have enough power to motivate your motors...I would invest in a better one...and save that one as a back up ...or use it for testing
