I saw this on e-bay, looks in very good condition, so was curious about the price range these normally go for, I thought it seemed rather cheap....

That's a starting bid though, expect it to go for around £300 - £400.

Hey Jake...those Stuarts are worth what you are willing to pay ...Really ...I remember when they first came out on the Shelves in Walmart...Retail was about 275 US....after Christmas the price dropped to 125 US....Sometimes I kick myself for not getting one then...but at the time I wasn't into RC tanking...It's a cool looking tank....but IMO ..not a "collectors item" like many sellers think they are....Just because they are OOP and rather old ...doesn't necessarily mean they appreciate
They need a lot of work...ask Painless ..he's working on one as we speak

They do pop up quite a bit...personally I would pass ;)

Hey Adam yup your right it is a starting bid, but it's a 5 day auction and no signs of interest, I would thought if it were to go for around the £300-400 mark there would of been a bid or two by now..

Hey Alpha, I wasn't thinking of bidding otherwise I wouldn't of stuck on the forum :P , just wondering what they normally go for, but hey if they were selling in the US for $125 there cant be a lot to them :eh:

Quite rare now so if you can get it for £175 it's a cheap way into 1/6th.

Good morning,
Jake, the Stuart is a fine platform for turning a big, toy grade tank into a proper RC Hobby Grade tank. There is some work involved but a decade later on, parts are still out that help with functionality and levels of fine detail. That being said, expect to be scratch building new and\or modifying some of the stock parts as well. The result is very worth it as a cracking M3, M5 or M5A1 can be built out of the stock 1/6 Stuart.
regards,
Painless

Hi Painless

Yes I can Imagine with a lot of hard work you could turn this into something special and like Adam says a cheap way to get into 1/6, but to big for me, plus I don't have the skill's necessary to make much of it..so I'll leave to guy's like yourself who have the know how and skill's to make a really good job of a project such as this .. :)

Cheers
