Sorry gang....Trenkie is apparently new to the board and has posted his dilemma on two other member's threads....thus having his problem overlooked
Hopefully we can all help this guy out :thumbup:

This is his original post
Trenkie wrote:Hello, guys. Im gonna tell you the full picture of why am i here, so maybe you will be able to understand the problem better. Approximately ten years ago, idk if the country matters, my dad gifted me an abrams m1 heng long tank 1/24. In a couple years the gun broke, and the tank spend quite some years disassembled in a box. After we moved out, I decided to keep the tank and finally got my hands on it. I simply want to repair the tank and mb upgrade it a little bit, keep it as a memory, but Im afraid to burn the circuitry. What I need is actual technical info about the tank. Schematics of the circuitry, gun model and etc. Im really sure that this is the tank im talking about.

Actually the tank is 15+ years. Also the non sloped fron of the turret makes me doubt that this is abrams model...

So come on gang :wave:

This was my reply ...before I found out he didn't make the request on his own :{

Greetings Trenkie....Traced your post back here from Moni's Introduction post............As I mentioned there...this is a JGSDF TYPE 90 tank...Both Jake (Moni's boyfriend) and I have it....for what it is...it's a fun tank....but on the flipside of that...I'm not sure it's one worth restoring....It sounds like there might be some sentimental attachment
If it's the gun mech that is the problem and the tank runs...I would just say run it ;)

With that said....it is possible to upgrade if you wish...as I considered putting a 2.4 rig in mine...there is plenty of space...so you could add sound as well as smoke ...the downside is that the parts alone would cost more than your tank....So upgrading to a larger 1/16th model might be more practical

If you should decide to upgrade this one though...and even go the route of getting a new gun mech...check out FORGEBEAR ...I think he's the best and most reliable seller there in the UK and if you have problems he can also assist you :thumbup:

Good Luck Trenkie :D
